Sandwich Anyone?

Fundraising finally ended last friday. What a hectic week it was. Imagine dealing with food from raw to done; from morning till midnight till early morning for 5 nights and days where only a 2 hours sleep seperate us apart! The few of us hardly slept preparing things while others sacrificed as well* :p

Not mentioning the weeks of preparation before that, it was definitely tiring enough. Remember the panda our mascot sorta thing, guess one of the reason is by the end of it, everyone are real life pandas already.hehe

Basically, our concept was plagirised from subway whereby you choose your own type of sandwich and we make it for you. simple?

Besides sandwiches, we had popiah, bubble milk tea, longan drink, donuts and garlic bread

Well in short, it isn't as simple for us. We had to spend all night nearly everyday preparing the ingredients for the next day. Invariably till dawn. I feel for you, hawker people...

She is one of the most amazing human being i've seen. From doing serious stuff like proposals, meetings to taking care of the whole project like cooking, preparing, staying up to being Project Manager's personal secretary like replying sms's, wake up call, does he's checklist, constant reminder, to helping me think of artsy ideas and doing them to making sure we go to classes and do tutorials to.... * i need to breathe.

Highlights

We had different highlights on different days to attract crowd.One of em is the bear.



At first we wanted to give the bear away by lucky draw, but it was a better idea to auction it away so there it goes. If not mistaken it was sold at rm100?


Free gifts are given to the highest spending customer. This guy here was so into the gift he kept coming back :P




We had limbo too which was very funny. There was a crowd going on and no doubt, i was emcee-ing! XD good or bad, i dunno :P

Enough of WTF$, Delixious.com with their funny name, was impressively united. I definitely got a thing or two to learn from them.

They have chocolate fondue, bubble ice, herbal milk tea, curry fish ball, ice-cream float, ice-cream.... Business was very good for them.lol

Finally, last day came. I was on duty full time but left for stage meauring and dance class.

after that i rushed straight to Pudu to catch my bus to Johor. haih, couldn't finish everything with everyone. The geram part is, the bas was delayed for an hour ==

But then again, it really was a wonderful experience. Words are just not capable enough for expression. Thank you all!!! I'm honoured to be working alongside you guys.

Design I

Though days have been indescribably busy, i'm still able to do a thing of two that i count as wonderful accomplishments. below is one of many :)

It was one part of the fund-raising project to raise fund for the upcoming big event which should be kept anonymous for the time being. But though so, this shirt is gonna contribute more than anyone can expect because our target population was accounting (which is also my own course) that consist of? 1000+ students!

I went into lecture halls convincing and persuading people to buy which i thought was very fun and nicely done =D It isn't that easy to convince that much people specially when half of them might not understand the shirt itself.

But as for friends they've seen, they cracked out so loud that all the hardwork put in was worth it XD

by now, i still can't imagine how so much design jobs i've done since joining tar. From the beginning till the end it hasn't stop. From stage crew to creative team to booth design to shirt desgin to flyer design to being stage director! XD i might be publicising more ideas and designs than those studying it. thank you my Lord ! You've truly made me speechless in gratitute.

Addicted to the song. lalalala.. Actually quite happy that she made a (successful) comeback. Kinda missed her.

Anyways, these days i've been very busy. le sigh. That's it, not gonna complain. I'm trying to cut down my whining and complaining (GASP) cause every time after i complain about sth i feel bad.


One thing I realized, my brother has never watched Power Rangers. O.M.G :O I didn't know, I thought that every kid has watched that! (like how I naively thought that everyone should be able to ride a bike and swim and yes i was flabbergasted shocked when i knew some ppl can't cause i thought that it's something essential like learning how to walk this sentence is damn long. )

I still remember man, 1996, Sat 6.00 pm, i watched the first episode of Power Rangers with my sis. Nostalgic.

Speaking about cartoons, I think the cartoons back in the 90's is the best. The ones now, like the... what..Phinus and Fern (?) [can't spell] is like....crap ok. (i hate all the cartoons now including kim's possible except for KND)

Some people (actually most) i know has never watched this. Why? This is seriously the best animated movie out there.

Reasons to watch (if u have not watched it)
- It's an Academy Award Nominated Animated movie.
- U see the Eiffel Tower? Anything in France is GOOD.
- It's about this long lost Russian princess. Russian + princess = very PRETTY princess
- The music is AWESOME. (duh~ that's why it was nominated for 2 awards)
- Set in the 1920's, the era whr ppl wear nicely and look pretty and have those nice balls and all.
- Got music box. Music boxes are pretty, mystical things.

Do You Call Back On A Missed Call?

Drizzle drizzle, its dinner time. Recalling the amount of procrastination i've debted, i decided to start paying for it. Had to get materials at shops 2kms away and its raining. Ah..malas. Wanted to borrow a bicycle and the tyres were flat - . - wanted to use a motorbicycle and the owner went back town =.='' Weekends are eeryly quite in hostel. So, the circumstances left me with my legs. O well, walk laaa.

Spend quite some time "shopping" at the stationery shop for paper and colour boards, the owner must have thought i'm stopping her from closing down and have dinner. Walked to the atm to reload my phone before driving on my "leg-vehicle" back to hostel.

Just as i was about to check whether the reload was succesful, the phone rang along with an unknown number. Swiftly i answered............And right at that moment, i passed a mosque. AND RIGHT AT THAT POINT OF TIME, they started their prayer. *-* (I bet there were at least two microphone speaker facing my way.) I went "hello-ing" repeatedly that i felt that i myself was annoying XD After a minute of struggling my hearing with the guy in the phone and the LOOOUUDDD prayers (no wonder we can hear it from miles =.="), the guy gave in.. "tut tut tut tut..."

He had this "i-owe-him-something" sorta tone. I didn't owe anyone money lately, i didn't offend anyone lately, and i definitely did not go for any tai-lou's girl or in fact any girl at all.

sorry dude, call back soon yea! Hope you're not some China Ciplak You-Won-A-Million spammer , if so, wasn't that a nice prayer? :P

Anyways, got back and was just in time to cook dinner. (its illegal to cook in hostel =O ) We're having sushi rice with japanese tapioca and broccoli. Yum Yum, good meal everyone! =)
