A Tribute to....

I've been living in the hostel for more than a year.

Despite the impression that people have against it, i'm pretty much in love with it.

Hostel may not be co-ed, where guys and girls live next door and share the same bathroom;

nor does it have deluxe suites or delicious cuisine being served at the canteen.

Which ironically, hostel pretty much have the exact opposite of it, plus the guards that at times givea such a headache to everyone, not including the countless ghost stories being circulated around.

But someway somehow, it has captured this boy's heart and unexplainably, i really like it.

Maybe its because it's so closely assimilated with nature, having hills right at its sides, and beautiful trees waving at you all the time whether you wave back in gesture or not.

or the cooling shades which rustles away the heat of the the sun.

Or maybe the refreshing air you get every single morning when you open the window.

No doubt hostel is a really beautiful place and putting aside every other aspect, nature itself is already a great reason to be living or to move in hostel :) Where else can you find such a peaceful place in the heart of the chaotic, hazy, polluted capital.

Yea, i admit, I've been persuading every single person that has or has not the slightest interest in hostel to move in. I know i make sense, though sometimes I'm doing it plain unnecessarily XD

I guess its just human nature, to share something you really like.

See the birds, that's not all. There are monkeys, eagles, chicken (yes), lizards, cats you name it.

But the sad thing is, these sights are no longer available.Reality has finally confronted mother nature and she has been literally harrested if not raped fatally by the brutalness of civilisation. Hence this post of pictures, a tribute to the nostalgic environment of hostel. Ah, sad.

Flowers of all kinds blossoming on trees, have you seen that? Too bad that they don't even need to wilter no more, just being chop to the ground and rot.

Will be posting up the current faces of hostel the next time, meanwhile, let's give a piece or two of an appreciation to our surroundings.

Be it the scenery of beautiful sights that we like so dearly,

or the landscape or architecture that we admire,

or the ones that we truly love but never really told em,

or even,

little little things that we got accustomed to,

which are just there, and that we've been taking granted of all this while,

Rethink of how we started to like it, and how it made our day,

and think about what would happen if they were suddenly gone, and how we would regret of not giving it an extra attention, that much of care, love and apologies.

Cause we'll never know when would these beautiful things suddenly just leave our lives,

Just like how i might wake up one day to the horror of a cleared forest when the night before it was still a fertile land of healthy trees.

And just like how a friend may just leave our circle so abruptly when the night before we were still laughing and poking each other happily.

Lets treasure every detail of our lives, value everything that God has given to us, cherish every friend that you could named and appreciate all things that you might possibly be taking granted for.

And if one day any of them went missing, we would be happy to tell ourselves, "yea i'm real sad that its gone, but at least i treasured every moment of it" :)

Good For Health

...back in front of the pc filling up the missing pieces that the blog missed out. Its like a diary for me so i shouldn't omit the happenings that's going on in fear of actually forgetting em with my short span memory. exp..Currently, i'm sitting on a plastic chair in an unfamiliar place blogging with Internet Explorer, (ok maybe not this detail :p)

Although the 3 weeks exam period had waved its goodbyes, it is still intricate for me to grasp the reality that so much had happened. Choir won first place in the Malaysian Youth Music Festival (champion isn't a nice word), the hostel was literally shaved bold by some smart ass hostel management people that it lost its primary beauty of rustling trees and breezeful shades, lost a friend which i realized how much i was affected by it soon after, had the best exam experience so far, celebrated the best surprised birthday that i've ever tried (woo!), worked in Nikko hotel with a huge bunch of Bangladeshi, which i later find them very amusing :)

To talk about choir before actually posting up photos and a full post about it, i just wanna thank God for the process and of course the result too. I remember giving a testimonial last Christmas about how my curriculum's have been so blessed although i joined too much. " Choir won their first ever trophy last year " i said, and somehow i knew it that if choir was a blessing that God has granted , and I've testify of it, there's no way God's gonna let me testify this Christmas that, "Hey thank God we won last year, and as for this year, we won nothing." And true enough, despite our choir's standard, we did improve title-wise from last year, excluding other circumstances :)

The situation of preparing for final exam this semester was actually parallel to the few semesters before, last minute study as usual. BUT! this semester was thornful as last minute study was to its extreme, to have a more vivid picture, i had 2 subjects which i had no idea whats its all about or any freaking idea what the computations and calculations even look like the night before the exam. But don't worry mum, the all nighters are promising enough, not that my mind can actually worked that well at 2 or 3 in the morning, but of how awesome my God is, i guess with this extreme examples, people around would finally know that its not my intelligence that has brought me good results, cause in fact i'm not that intelligent at all, i don't get straight A's because i do my tutorials (i've never), studied enough (totally no), smart enough (my friends would know), its REALLy by the Grace of God that studying becomes such a great experience and so is the result revealing moment. Am so anticipating for that!!!! :D

As for the friend that i lost, its not that the person passed away or something (touch wood), its just that, things went wrong and the end. I just wanna let you know that, i really treasure our friendship (although i'm not so sure whether there was friendship from the start), and its just ( i n s e r t w o r d s ) to lose a friend like that, hope you'll understand, and don't hate me for too long, its bad for health :) hugs!

Will be flying back to Kuching this Thursday whereas the whole hostel is vacant already due to semester break and Hari Raya Holidays, yes yes i booked the wrong flight because i assumed there was a trip in between the few days. (Haha, see how huge and damaging the power of assumption is?) Had to repeat this to everyone. See ya around people from Kuching, and miss me more people from KL, its good for health :)

meanwhile check this out...

courteous of Jon and Andrew which recommend it at the same time =)

Although i'm still an active little bouncing atom

Breezy Morning- Am suppose to be at school for choir warm up at 9 but due to the recent norm of never being in time, i reached at 9.40. We were slot into the program list of this semester's Contemporary Dance Competition just yesterday so the last minute decision did not register that deep. Anyhow, its a grateful opportunity to get ashamed and embarrassed in front of a sweating hyped up crowd so that we get the exposure of not being shy.

Well of course it wasn't suppose to be embarrassing but singing together for the first shot would normally end up imperfect. Which gives a reason to practice :)

Speaking of Contemporary Dance, think i've never mention about me joining it last year and doing quite well with the team :D

Always wanted to blog about it but did not have the mood to brag i guess. haha. We got second last year and i was even "wrongfully" chosen for best dancer nominee. What were the judges thinking?? haha.

But still, it was a great great experience of choreographing your own dance move, improving not just yourself but every person in the team from wood to silky smooth moving dancers. Bravo bravo :)

Practicing late at night with beauties of our team. And o yea, we were called "Laissez Faire"

sounds familiar? :P

me, pei pei, kim and Wei Jian the buff ><
And so, because i joined last year, i get the chance to perform again this year for the junior's competition. I forgot when did the idea of it came out but i knew instantly that i had to grab it. I know i'm incomparable to any dancing dudes that go down the floor with handstands and windmeel that sort but hey, i just love to dance :)

Practices went well, along with Wei Jian the buff, Crystal his stunning partner and Kah Hwee my partner who is half my height. (ok maybe a little been more than that) We tried all sort of stunts imaginable and yea, carrying girls ain't easy but its real fun XD from an innocent point of view mind you.

I guess its really true how performers have to sweat all their heart out during practices for just that few minutes in front of the crowd. Our dance performance passed just like any usual practice routine and its just.. passed! OMG. But we shouldn't really sighed on how short the performance lasted. Process matters than the end result really rings i suppose :)

After performing both in dance and singing (cheh!) i headed to church for worship practice. Did you know that singing praise and worship songs no longer stays as just singing when you become a Chrisitian? You have the ability to soul out the lyrics and get connected with God through singing/worshiping. Songs no longer stays as songs but a true love offer to God. and having God as your audience, you gotta know He really adores you're singing :)

I guess i have to always renew my prespective towards serving in church as i'm easily drag down to the thought of performing instead of ministering. Minister means service, which means i'm servicing in church for the congregation, leading people into the intimade encounter of worshiping God. I'm glad that the church constantly reminds us on the correct attitude towards serving in the worship team. Gosh i've learnt a lot.

Am hoping to get a copy of the dance video and post it up here, if you have the slightest interest of seing a lamp post moving around in tempo that is XD Tomorrow will be another full day with 2 church services and choir but, it will definitely not be "just another Sunday", but another wonderful Sunday with high expectations and blessings.

Love ya Jesus :)

Cola Sharing

He knows the amount of sugar there is in a can;

She knows how sweetening a can would be.

He never really liked coke,

Neither does she.

He felt like having one,

She doesn't mind the sugary aftertaste.

They headed across the dining area to the cola fridge.

"Hey, a can is too sweet, why don't we share?"

i just find it, sweet :)
