To the Ah lians and Ah Bengs

I just can't help to notice that friends around me are having this severe problem with people that are so called "ah lians" and ah "bengs". Well as far as i'm concern, I feel very boiled when i hear people complaining or joking bout these, special "group" of people.

Who sets the standards of who's an ah lian/ah beng and who's not?

dyed hair?

nice~

More-than-typical-revealing-dress and long straight hair?

cap? necktie? bag packs???


Or people that just dress up? for their dates maybe, though the girl look emo

Actually, I don't think anyone can give me a firm answer on that matter. So since things are as uncertain as this, what right do you have of calling someone an ah lian or ah beng?

For people that dress up and still critics the L/B culture-->
Are you so sure that you are not one of them ah L's or ah B's?

It would be very amusing if you pad on the shoulder signaling to a friend bout how ah beng those kids are over at a corner while at the same time those kids signal among themselves bout how beng YOU and your gang are. LOL

Are you very sure that you don't have clothes and hair similar to them which you might consider perfectly ok if you wore it yourself?



For those people who DO NOT dress up but wear what NORMAL people wear
Do you think you're superior over those young hearted teenagers that enjoys the intensity of fashion and taste? So you claimed dressing normal as not ah L/B? Doesn't that makes you just typical and fashion-deaf.

Even if one LOVE being normal and boring doesn't mean other more passionate being should join in the dull world. They dress up and linger their ups and downs to their own based satisfactory and so its their business. Why go smash their image with such cruel and un-NICE ways. hm hm?

Anyway, If anyone relate the mean adjective of "ah L/B" with the above pictures, there must be too much ego for the eyes to see the beauty other than the ugly.
