Welcoming 2009 From the Top

Just like writing the last page of a chapter, composing through its highs and lows, getting excited in parts and getting discourage in other parts, i chose the last setting for the ending of this chapter, Genting Highlands.

Metaphorically, it means that after a year of cruising through the valley of an 18-year old life, the final destination was of the highest mutitude :D

And so, i went to Genting with the bunch of Student Welfare Committee, which are really good in taking care of our own welfares, though we have the word 'student' in out title.

I like Genting.The weather, the architecture, the statues, the decor. It takes less the amount of time to reach Genting as to Sunway. haha. Hope i won't get bored of it because, i sense the to-be-coming class trips, group trips, holidays will be all... in GENTING.

Nevertheless, i'm really amazed at how a man-made city comes to life under a roof.


If you really give an eye, First World does seem fake, but if you give two eyes, it looks dicively wonderful :)

There were 16 of us and 1 room, don't do the math, do the imagination. haha.

After dinner, we went out to the outdoors with our sweater and hootie. It was nice of Genting to let everyone enter the outdoor for free but sadly it doesn't come with the rides. Haih, i still haven't tried the space shuttle!

There was some mini concert out there while LEO KO was performing in there! Didn't get to see him because i've yet to understand how to pay 200bucks for a ticket.

The crowd was warming up with songs and dances and before we know it, its time to countdown!

The shouts and cheers made our ears painful but our throat hurts more for contributing in the shouts XD (=.= look at eunice again =.=)

It doesn't matter how loud you can contribute, but the deafening human made sound of thousands of people there were mad!

We were jumping and dancing and there were human trains going around the crowd! Now i know how fun it is to be in the high cold weather, you sweat as you move, but then you cool down insteadly.

After partying with strangers, we went back to the room and party once more! I was shock by the amount of food and beverages they brought for us. Amazzzinnngg..

l'll skip what happen next because i am strictly not allow to mention anything at all.

Its not like you can say, a few got drunk and a few vomitted and a few were chanting and a few were....opss.. XD

I drank the most that night but surprisingly, i didn't sleep and i was still in complete soberness. Not being proud of myself here XD

So the nice nice me :) accompanied her to starbucks (at 7) and tried all morning to make her lose her self-proclaim crankiness.

A few interesting facts bout her: she hops(like the bunny she's wearing), she hearts twilight, and she turns direction without giving any notices =.=


Drag her on the monetonous monorel and the whale-like-cage ride which she complaint non-stop about but yet, see what happen..

Went back to the room after that and they were packing while watching Adam Sandler getting his award on MTV. Its kinda hard to pack with 15 other people in a small room.

i mean, 15 + 1 gigantic rat

This guy's name, is Mun Kit. And what did he do?? He won two soft toys in each try. How lucky is that!!!

The trip was a good experience. Never really countdown like that before. Remember there's this new year when i was watching tv with the family. And when the clock strikes 12, the tv showed the prime minister and his ministers singing "Negaraku" while fireworks were displayed. And the interesting was, dad ask me to get a shower... "New year ma, shower la" (=.='')

The maths for genting= 16 people, 3 friends made, 2 soft toys, 2 bottles of liquor, 1 burnt wallet, and 365 days of unknown and excitement waiting ahead!
