My World, My Classroom

Took this photo in Kuching, which i thought it looked like a real-life human mouth structure. Anyway, i entered it in a photography competition and let's see what happens :)

I'm Sleeping Early For the Environment

"What course are you in a?"
"umm.... Accounting."
"Ha?? Accounting wanna do stage a??"
" :D "

If you're expecting a rant and complain post, then i'm sorry for not writing to expectations :) Yes, i'm the stage director, and the above conversation happened between me and my assistant who is a senior in Graphic Design. *bites fingers :D

My first reaction towards her pre-judgement was to defend myself and boast off. But really there isn't such a neccesity. Frankly, i consider myself lucky to have such a post with the stereotype of an accountant labelled on my head. I mean, who would entrust a design and creative job to an accountant? :D

Well, God would :) Therefore i really have no worries over the outcome of every stage i'm doing, because faith tells me its gonna be brilliant!

````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Besides designing, i'm in charge of the orientation of the newbies coming in for May's intake. Management skills? haha, He's really pushing me in every way. As compared to designing a stage, this job requires 100% discipline and obedience in rules and regulation. Honestly i'm having a hard time catching up, feels as if i'm forcing myself to be a person of systematic and deligence. I blame that to myself for being poor in deligating task. But still, i know things are gonna work out one way or another.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````

It may seem crazy enough to be involve in 2 huge college events, but if i'm also involve in a new event founded by a few youngsters that just want to go that extra mile, i think i'm close to mad. The heated up project goes by the name, Green Alert! By the name of it, its obvious its for the environment!

Doing an event that has never been done really is a pain in the ass. Everything starts from zero, from the plans to the hierachy to the programs.

Doing an event that relates to the environment, its even harder, for the scale and scoop of are so vast and the untangible goal of increasing awareness and seeing behavioral changes, it just add to the difficulty. But so? If something is difficult and people keep doubting, turning away is the least smart option. It may sound exaggerating, but the first thing i wanted to do when i joined college, was to change the college's ignorance towards environmental care. Damn it, they hide the recycle bins behind college and take it out for coursework campaigns and put it back again!!!

COME ON!!!!!

drew this when i just came to college, minus the porn thingy :D

Our environment is our responsibility, and all we want is to let everyone understand so. I believe with that little amount of pushing, behavioral change is possible. Come on everyone, be a noble and respectable person for Earth :)

last note: Did you know staying up late damages the environment? The amount of electricity you consume with the lights, your laptop, your hi-fi and God knows what else you're using till early morning. So for the environment, i'm sleeping early. Care to join me? :)

Support Earth Hour and Beyond

Besides being a fantastic enviromental action, Earth Hour is also receiving huge feedbacks and responce from all around the world. Its really cool to see the whole world going towards one sole direction and purpose, for our Earth.

But do note that by switching off all electrical related appliances does not mean we've done our responsibilities towards our mother Earth. Responsibilities. It is the simple act of doing what you are suppose to do as part of the community, the nation and the globe.

Throwing sweet wrappers into the rubbish bin, why do you do so? Because its our responsibility for having sweets and creating unwanted sweet wrappers. Get what i'm trying to say?

Our responsibilities goes beyond such simple routines that are just understandable norms which people still harasses. If you're joining in the hype of Earth Hour, make sure you know what you're doing it for and start changing.

Doesn't it just suck to keep hurting the world we live in which provides us with everything?

Every effort counts!

The world shouts "Earth Hour!!!"

We shout "Go beyond!!!"

support Earth Hour nontheless, 28th March 2009,
switch off your facebook, msn, your proton cars and handphones too!
rejoice for Earth!

I guess its impossible for me to feel lonely

even though i thought i would.

I was suppose to spend the weekend alone since the usual hang-arounds were out of town. Went for karaoke again on Friday and spend the whole day preoccupied with our youth's favourite hobby- loitering :D Had dinner with mum while the others went for another Disney Dwight Johnson movie. (The Rock) Had some pretty good experience with Subway and Wendy's all at the same time while they munch popcorns in the cinema :p

So there goes Friday. Saturday should be a lonely one i thought.

Surprisingly, more than half the day was gone when i woke up to notice that my watch was pointing at 1pm. OMG! Wasteful. I should so so so be going on with all the extra task the Student Affair Department was giving me and also actually getting started with my own tutorials. However, things just get so spontaneous. Guess what did i do with the rest of the day? :p

I wrote a song out of someone's blogpost =.=''

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I don't usually do that ok. So there goes the day doing the verse, the chorus and finish the bridge at midnight... With my retarted guitar talents and limited chords knowledge, i think it was too obvious who's doing the composing :)

Dinner was at kim's church while i joined the fellowship/cell group. Singing Chinese songs with their
pinyin spelled bellow the characters reminds me of primary school camps with the happy jolly sad goodbye songs. you know? haha.

Church was massively wonderful today.
I am officially in the Worship Ministry!!! Comparing to all other responsiblities, this would be my sole priority. I've never or rather had the chance to serve church so its just an honour that God granted my wishes.

Listen to my story,
i
t was the last Sunday before going back to Kuching and i was at church singing worship songs like any other church members. But it struck me then that, i would really loved to lead worship in front one day. (Well for a clearer picture it would be someone going to a concert and wishing he was up there singing.) The thought swam around my head for a split of a minute and then service went on. However, right after church ended, the worship leader came to me and hand me a Worship Ministry Application Form telling me it would be great if i can join the team.

WOAAAAAAA, haven't i told you that Jesus is so cool?

Well of course leading worship would be all about serving the people and God so don't get me wrong. I'm just so so glad ( it think i
baru mention this ) that God exist, and He so loves me. And you too :)

Why is it impossible for me to feel lonely?
Cause there's the guitar, the music, and above all, there's Jesus :)

Status: (Ambiguously Away)

Things are pretty out of hand at the moment. Been sleeping at superb odd hours.

Mass Call Orientation Coordinator
TT Night Stage Director
(Pioneering a new event with cross fingers)
Island Red Cafe, SOS!

If the 3 post above with thousands of individual involvement each does not drain me off my enthusiasm, I've gotta organize an Appreciation-Night or some sort for God!

I'm really glad that God exist! :)

I came to a soon realisation that objectives are very important, be it for an activity, a prom night, a job, a behavior etc. Without a clear objective, working would just be a rat-race by which we get engaged in an event after another as if its our job. We're students! And "life is not a job" says the T shirt that random strangers wore on streets :p

For me, the objective in active participation is to overcome weaknesses. It may sound real cheesy but hell yeah its true! I'm glad that my weaknesses and flaws are showing because that's where i can work on. I don't wish to end a successful task with unhappy endings no more. Guess i have a lot to learn.

Would someone please keep me in a box in case i ran out of hand :)

I am....

squiggling my toes for warmth in a cybercafe that requires barefooting =.=''

sitting beside a hot girl which doesn't turn her face off the screen

installing Live Messenger for the lucky computer which seems to be the only one without the networking programme

regretting not picking the computers with webcam. (and messenger)

checking e-mails, deleting would be a better term

wishing i could have something better to do than sleep at 10

Ah! Man U VS Liverpool, still waiting

thinking of what to do with the Island Red Cafe ''investment''

typing what i'm doing like i've got nothing better to be doing

and making no sense out of what i just wrote...

and keep writing

keeepp

writing..

nothing..

aaa

Why do i sound like some lost kid at a cybercafe 4 levels above ground with too much free time that prompts vandalism and loitering but blogging seems a better option hence you're reading to something a lost kid at a cybercafe 4 levels above ground with too much free time has to offer.

THE FREAKING CAMP GOT CANCELLED LAST MINUTE !!!

i was suppose to be going for a camp in Kuantan where pitch black actually exist and tigers appearing are highly possible! Everyone except weishya was so pumped up for it that we had the discussion on and on till 3 in the morning! Waterfalls and campfires, guitar and laughter, camp food and fireflies. AAA. it hurts to pay for the opportunity cost. Why o why does the school have to cancelled the camp just because it rains too much, gahhh

(O, the girl beside me just spoke in Vietnamese or something 0.0)

i am...

lost in a multi national cybercafe 4 levels above ground when i shoud be having bbq in the forest!!!

March 8

Before i bore or excite (hopefully XD) people with another "rediscovering" post, i just wanna write something short.

Woke up at 5.50 on Saturday (really can't remember when was the last time that happened) to gather for a trip to Perak with SSSS, Sabah Sarawak Student Society. My half-hometown, though i can't recognize most of the roads. Mum's from ipoh by the way.

Found my alter ego

After visiting numerous places, "The Land of 美女(beauties, in female terms)" didn't really serve up to its name. We later concluded that the name has past its era, for all the ladies that made the land proud are either married or exported away.
Which is why, you have me here today! :D

Exam results finally came out. Although i'm terribly grateful, but an A- for English!!! In the oriented TAR college! haih... still, thank you thank you thank you :) It was real fun anticipating the results with a whole bunch of half naked people. Someone was holding a cloth over the computer screen while the result-webpage loads, and then the cloth was lowered slowly to review the alphabet granted for each subject. hahaha, maybe you guys should try that next time!

Happy Woman's Day to every lady out there. Your hardwork and nature is always appreciated, but conclusion is guys still drive better XD

And a very Happy Birthday to

AMY GOH SWEE YONG

a beautiful lady that grew up with me, and was born on Woman's Day 19 years ago. Though you may not read this blog, i still hope you're doing fine somewhere over the rainbow :)

Simplicity, Complications

Finally P1 wimax is working properly. It really gets on my nerves when electronics or machines die on me. I have the urge of slamming it mercilessly to see how it deserves to be in crack pieces for not functioning. However rationals told me otherwise. Guys out there who are using P1, hows it going? Its nearly a hundred bucks a month but the service doesn't balance the price tag. God help me.

Its been 2 days of school so far. Whats making them such 'interesting' days are, the repetitive scenario i get into. funny la! :p People around gave me that strange look, like i'm some kinda new kid in school but dejavu told them they met me somewhere before. Yea its the hair, (who cares bout the hair) the hair that was trimmed with perfect courage and determination which now leads to full controversy within myself, and the world. haha, maybe not that serious but hey, imagine EVERY SINGLE PERSON you talk to for these 2 days starts the conversation with your hair cut. haha, ironically disturbing yet enjoying :D

I didn't wanna pose up my haircut cause there's gonna be an endless number of haircuts that i would have, but since its making sush a fuss in my everyday life, why not? :P

~sorry for the unhappening expression~

The change in velocity of living has accelerated so drastically that brakes aren't usable anymore. From the simple routine of waking up and doing whatever i felt like doing, to following a fixed timetable of double lectures and tutorials while the intervals are effortlessly filled with task and jobs that i didn't really invite. Its college life once more!

As the ''student council'' may be a serious thing, its running all over again. I felt sad that the school did not entrust us with the events we were parallel and certainly capable of. We got a more simple yet dull task of conducting a 2-day-orientation with whichever thousand figure the new bunch will be, instead of organizing The-Annual-College-Events which all organizers in college would crave to lay hands on. Although you might have absolutely no idea what the heck am i talking about, its ok, i will reconstruct my perspective once my narrow enclosed mind understood what God has planned for all the mysterious happenings. so don't worry! haha

If there is a difference between Kuching and KL besides the alphabet followed by 'K', it would be everything else. One is just plain, underutilised, breezy and simple. The other is packed, congested, interesting, indescribably tense, and sophisticated. The people you see around street, both have total difference in purpose and direction. I'm grateful i'm expose to both.

Remember the post before this, with all the shoes gather gleefully in that homey picture? now there's just a single pair, beached a thousand miles away from home, shaping its footsteps in a complicated pool of uncountable foot prints in a sophisticated city. The complications behind is almost tangible.

There's a saying,

"A thousand miles, starts with a single Converse shoe step"

now that could have only came from someone as ridiculous,
as me :D

College Sem 3, here i come!
