夜谈

跟妈和弟在超市买了一大包美露。最近对咖啡敏感了，觉得咖啡因性格太强硬激烈，一把就是那股好胜的气概，硬是要把自己浓厚的味道蔓延似的霸占領域。最近的我没有那股好胜欲，还是请来美露代班个好几天好了。今晚的夜空很宁静，泡了美露到窗台前叹口气。和 上帝聊了几句，跟他说了我对美露一路来的眷恋。哈哈。他笑了。

听了韦礼安的人质，其实没有朋友说得那么好听。终觉得他少了杨宗伟的凝聚力很感性，少了阿妹的坦诚。不过还是要谢谢他，因为让我想起了自己。很多时候，不管在K房或名歌餐厅唱歌时都太过注重唱腔表现，太在意听者的感觉；而常常忘了体会歌词间的含义，旋律背后的故事，和呈现词曲家写歌的目的。很多时候，也许是把兴趣当工作了；或是重复度太高；或是重来都没有搞清楚事情的真相；我们常常会把事物的原义随着现代生活反复的律动而忘了体会，忘了投入的感觉。工作也好，待人也罢。而当中最可怕的不是“听众”觉悟了后的反应，而是自己迷茫了而却不晓得。好吧，让我们再次学习体会，对自己做的每一件事投入。对，这样应该会很不错。

这夜晚真的好宁静。你感觉到了吗？课业和考试该准备的重来都没有离开过那“该做的事”排行榜。但不知为什么，心里就是那么安静。刚结束的小组好棒，每个人都在基督里成长了那么一点点，我为你们感到开心。明天又要飞回古晋了，想到那独自的旅程，其实很累。但把眼眶放在那还没实现的愿望，为它放手一扑。。*想想，值得。不在的这几天，希望大家会过得很好。

好了，月亮爬上了正空中，提醒野猫们别再赏月了。希望你今天过得很好，希望你期待明天未知数的到来。晚安！

My "Old" Place

Look what I bumped into while checking mail, someone left a spam comment in a webpage and my mail was notified. Low and behold, it's my old blog in the times where blogspot were too tech-ky and Friendster was the Facebook of those days!

gosh I use to write such long post (and I was 17) that I don't even have the interest to read it through. Haha. Guess people's general attention span really has gotten worse. Looking back, guess I've changed a lot. For better or worse?

不要忘了做朋友

面对在生活里擦肩而过的人；也许是捡垃圾的，小聚会碰面的，巴士坐旁边的，学校熟悉面孔的，都不要忘了做朋友。要记得生命里很多的巧遇都可能是搓成下一个伟大交响乐的小插曲。不要对不相关的人冷漠，无情，无视。这城市就是太寂寞，因为大家都忘了做朋友。

一起工作的同志，也许只因为工作的凑合而非得一起作战。聊得话题扯不开作业，共处的时间只有任务和交差。静下想想，不要忘了做朋友。学着把焦点在叹气的那瞬间转移到对方，认真的去认识与了解。这样不是很好吗？有了可称“战友”之号的友情，紧握着目标并肩作战的日子可以快乐许多。

好不容易找到了想要一辈子相爱的对象。呼吸的每一刻都有示爱的冲动，相见的叹息。嘿，把脚步放慢，认真的呼吸，让多一点氧气输送到脑袋去。坠入爱河的人都被情绪冲昏了头，不管好的坏的。不要忘记做朋友，因为友情是爱情的磐石，是感情的基础。没了基础，甜蜜的爱情挥霍完了之后剩余的只有苦涩，尴尬，遗憾。爱情不一定天长地久，但友情可以是永恒的。所以，不要忘了做朋友。

对着再也熟悉不过的人，性格态度脾气处事了如手掌。因为太了解，而失去了坦诚的空间；因为太习惯，而丧失了对彼此的客气与珍惜。唉，不要忘了做朋友，一个拥有互相扶持和彼此坦然的空间；一个因为太熟悉而不怕为了对方的收益抛下自尊的付出。做朋友，永远都会有更多的层次。

就算之间有年龄和生活领悟的差距，就算之间必须有尊重和谨慎的协调，不要忘了做朋友。太多的尊重只会让感情变得枯燥乏味，没有了争论的过瘾，互相给与受的健康。单方面的发表没有讨论，也不是能让感情健康茁壮的沃泥。

友谊是优雅美丽的。万物的创造者显然圣洁伟大，是世上无所可以比量的。面对着宇宙无与伦比的上帝真神，人类最自然的反应就是觉得自己渺小，无值得可怕。但，一样的不要忘了做朋友。神渴望的不单是我们的听天由命，盲目服从。约翰15章15节神说：“我不再称你们为仆人， 因仆人不知道主人所做的事。我 乃 称 你 们 为 朋 友” 。神要与我们交情，聊天，谈心事。兼至高无上，兼轻易进人。竟然如此，让我们不要忘了做朋友吧。

朋友，不要忘了做朋友。

The Cat City

It sounded pretty far-fetched a year ago that a few of them bought tickets spontaneously and said they were flying to Kuching next year. A year past and there you have the 4 of them plus me 5, took 3 separate planes on the same day from KL to Kuching. The airport person must have thought there's something fishy with my house BMW, which yes its a Wira, and its Buatan Malaysia :)

Travelling with these 4 human beings wouldn't be something everyone would like, specially when all 4 of them look like winners of some model search.

And to make things worse,

which leave me, the local boy and driver all alone =.=

Nah, just kidding. I don't look that bad myself :p Although it was a little awkward at first, things got real fun through out the seven days of their stay. I think we practically visited almost everywhere in Kuching, besides the natural caves and some awesome gardens, we covered all the way from the mountains to the city then to the beach. We even bought some drinks and went to the city bridge to drink, where Chris saw fireflies for his first time. Who says Kuching's boring :D

Besides food, the security, snakes and some huge houses around, the guys were actually very excited about the roads in Kuching. They find the roads so smooth, that you can play water slides when it rains.

This place really ain't that bad huh?

As hard as i tried, i really hope they had a great time. It was my first ever visit with friends 'from the other side' and it was my first time driving that much in a stretch in my entire life. I bet they enjoyed my driving skills as much :D

Thanks to them, i re-visited places I haven't been in years. Looking back at the same sceneries, food and places from a tourist's point of view and pressing the camera shuttle on just about everything, I realized that...

familiar things can be just as fascinating and exciting :)

The Shower

I usually take less than 5 minutes to shower,

not that I don't shampoo my hair,

I'm just fast

but today,

i stayed there a little longer,

just letting the waters run down,

appreciating the brush of splashing waters,

as it showers upon me,

displacing the heat of the afternoon.

You’ll never know, when will the next beautiful thing comes, where you’ll be totally caught off guard, and be so intensely in awe at the splendor of that beautiful creation.

You would never know, when will love drop by your doorstep, sweeping you off your feet, gushing excitement and warmth all over your mind and body, leaving you wondering where have this person been all your life.

You’ll never know, when will that unplanned, tingling yet satisfying feeling appear; like finding yourself sitting by the window on a drizzling evening, with a random song playing in a warm coffee house, staring into the drizzling sky outside the window without any rush for anything.

You would never know, what happenings tomorrow has to offer; receiving a postcard from a friend in Paris; a love gift just when you are in a financial need; coming across a nice song while passing by the CD shop on the way home; or just slowing your footsteps and realizing that the road you take every day is actually very beautiful.

What does a year has to offer? That quiet train ride from a random city to another; an unexpected missionary trip in helping the needy build a school; a new friend that makes you wanna spend the rest of your life just having him or her to talk to; an unheard songwriter that you fell in love with; or that quiet restaurant that you began to really take pleasure in.

Life is a precious gift, don't break the Giver’s heart by not appreciating it;
