TGI-Friday

All i feel like doing today is,

to rest under the shades of the trees outside my window, watch the clouds drift by on the light blue sky, listen to the music that i never had time for, read a book in my own secret world, and have plenty of coffee

Coffee's ready, picked the perfect book for the perfect Friday, turned on a couple of songs, chose the most favorable chair, laid back, took a deep breathe and flipped the first page..

*phone rings.

Well its not always about what you feel like ain't it?

Ah wells,

it does not always have to be all about us i reckon :)

But the greatest of these is Love

Photobucket

"For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"

Too often we repeat this verse, with such faithfulness that as if the 16th verse of chapter 3 in the book of John has been printed on the surface of our hearts. I recalled the first time i went to Canaan land to buy my first bible, it was the only verse that i knew that i could compare it between the different versions of translation. But with all honesty, I've never gave this world-wide used verse a deep thought, never even thought of why of so many lines there is in the full bible with such thin pages, this verse was so often-ly seen.

Have you?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At times, its hard to love people that are naturally of no significance to you, a course-mate that you've never talk to, a stranger that rubs off your shoulder on a busy day. At times, its difficult to care for people that does not bother whether you exist or not, the people you are reaching out to, the back slided ones that would really prefer if you could stop calling them. And at times, it would be even tougher to love the ones that brought hurt and pain to you, an abusive father, someone that humiliated you, or a cheating partner.
I mean, think about it, why do you bother loving people that just do not care? Why pour out your heart to people that prefer you to disappear? Why love the ones that has so unfairly broken your heart, why?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Had a great dinner and movie over Eclipse, despite having heard so many negative criticism over the movie. Too absurd they may say. Bella was so in love with Edward that the world does not matter anymore, that if a bullet were to come by one of them the other would not hesitant but to take it for the other, and that without the other there seem to be no meaning to life. Such intensity and passion. Maybe that's why people don't like it, that they think love of such measure does not exist, or it's just too much. I continue watching them parading their love, and the movie shifted gears suddenly the next thing you see Bella who just accepted Edward's proposal got into a real passionate kiss with Jacob right in front of him.

Drama. The sharpest knife into Jacob's throat would not even be enough to ceased the pain of hearing Jacob's mind caressing intensely on the one Edward love so much. But Stephanie Mayer did not write such brutal scenes after that, she made Edward stand still, and take no hate nor anger upon anyone...but why?

"For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life"

When i re-read this verse, it started speaking to me from mere memorizing into deeper revelation. It started of with the last line, that whoever believes in Him would not have to go to hell no more but rejoice in heaven for eternity. How great is that! Hallelujah!

But then, as this verse appears through time, the focus somehow shifted from the emphasis of heaven and hell to the first few words. "For God so love the world". Have we thought of that.

God so love the world, the world that has forgotten about Him and His love, the world that is not even the size of a speck of dust as compared to the Universe, the world that walks on its track like any stranger on the street, the world that does not care whether God exist, the world that does not want God's love, and tramples on it like a joke, the world that rejects His love, and betrays Him since the beginning of man, the world that is like His imprinted lover, destined to love Him back but yet chasing after other foolish and insignificant things, hugging and kissing passionately on the lips of things opposing to God and neglects totally how God has to feel about it..............

Yes, even though the world does not appreciate Him who gave up everything for us, John 3:16 says, He so love the world, that upon all that could possibly be imagined, He still chose to give His son and die for the world, the world who is us. Think about it.

I really just can't possibly imagine if i were to be in God shoes, pouring out His unconditional love even if we do the most foolish things to ignore, mistreat, trample, joke, gossip, laugh, blasphemy and betray His love. I don't know about you, but we who have known and has responded to such precious love by accepting Him, what more do we have against others? That Heaven's unconditional love is in us no matter what we did or will do, what more do we have to withhold against people that ignores us, mistreat us and hurt us.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During prayer last night in that small stuffy room after a repeated hurt and the questioning of love, we sang this song over and over again knowing deep inside that God has granted all the answers that we ever need..
"Yes I Love you with the Love of the Lord,
Yes I Love you with the Love of the Lord,
I can see it in you, the beauty of my King
Yes I Love you with the Love of the Lord"
Evanescene
A good way to brighten the skies, is to remember the great things, dwell in those wonderful memories for just a while, and be truly grateful for all of it :)
Gardens seem to play a big role in the cities i've been to in Australia. Everytime i browse through the city maps, they ought to be an area in green that looks relatively large compared to the city areas of buildings and junctions. I guess parks and gardens plays a certain role in lifes of these people. It's somehow a-must-go place even if you're not a fan of nature :)
Photobucket
I remember walking through this particular garden. Not a famous one, rather it was just a neighborhood park where people pass by each day on their way to their different roles in life.
No fancy fountains, designed landscapes, and not filled with people. School kids passes by eager for fun and excitement elsewhere, neighbors walks through because it is a shorter route, and joggers jogs by just to finish their routine.
and then, a boy with a camera walk passed, not in any rush, but waiting, to capture moments that would make the most out of the garden that he thought was beautiful. Maybe beauty really lies in the eyes of the beholder. But why would beauty slips away through time?
I believe every passer by must have fell in love with this park once upon a time. They would have really love the old trees along the walk way, or the green fields that they would lay down and talk about anything under the sun, literally, or the leaves that falls with different pace floating downwards slowly to the ground.
The park never changed, so did its beauty. The routes and paths were always there, the old trees were faithfully standing, the field stayed lawned all year round for anyone to lie down, and the sky was ever clear.
so what changed?
People used to be so in loved with a certain beauty, beholding it with much adoration. But as beautiful things keeps being available, it is being vulnerable of being used to, expected and soon, taken for granted. Humans, why are we such foolish things. Wasn't it us that wanted continuous great things and loving people showering love and showing beauty, but yet when time goes by, we got used to beautiful things and say, beauty do not last.
Yes, i believe it is just human to be so. To look beyond things and be unappreciative when availability isn't an issue. Why be so loving and available when no one appreciates?
Before leaving the park, i asked the park that question. And she told me,
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails"
