Oil Price Opinion

Before Yien starts commenting "bimboblicly" bout the oil price issue, i wish to state my view towards this hot material.

I know the price has rocket up RMo.78 which is quite unbearably to some. It was almost half the price last year this time.

"..in January 2007 = US$50 (RM164.50) a barrel.
June 2008 = US$130 (RM427.70) a barrel
and is predicted to rise uo to US$200 (RM658) a barrel"

We can't stop the fact that oil will continue to rise. So whats the point of boycotting Petronas oil station, causing chaos or sending complains etc. I even got some invitation on Facebook to some group of "Unsatisfactory towards oil price increase". Wth??


The government has subsidized our oil for quite some time and this luxury of course has its limitation. What i believe now is instead of crying over spilled milk, why not try on new adaptive ways to overcome this problem. (Living in college, everyone's talking bout adaptation adaptation adaptation.) In fact we humans are one of the most adaptive creatures, i believe with determination on the right pathway, we can pull through it.

I have this paper box that most people would just throw away without thinking twice, but i saved it and decorate it with drawings and "grafitti". On the top left side i wrote this

During World War II, people in Malaya had close to nothing on their needs and wants, but a way or another, the situation extends their creativity and somehow, they got through it. (by the way, we should realize the need to conserve and not waste sources as everything is increasing in price and wastage will promote higher expenditure. Anyhow, i really can't stand wastage and unenvironmental attitude!!! It sucks to the max! talk bout it some other day)

From the new subject i'm taking, Economics (cool subject), i learn that it is our unlimited wants usually which exceeds the limited resources that causes scarcity, competition and so on. I don't really got a hang of the subject yet but i do realise that wants can be controlled so things can be easier, money can be spend more wisely and life's would be happier :)

Coal was like oil during the Industrialization Period in Europe. Price back then was increasing close to unbearable too, much similar to the situation we're in now with oil. Decades past back then and human discovered Oil as an alternative. Now tonnes of coal are left unused.

Conclusion is ( why does it sound so formal :P) , let's focus on solving and adapting instead of complaining of unchangeable facts while at the same time, Keep our prayers on for new discovery :) I bet the person that develop some new technology against oil would be like some super hero that the world awaits on. haha, taking craB again.

Overall Its just my opinion so don't come spamming like what happened on other discussion boards XD

Last night was fun hanging out with old pals and watching Iron Man halfway at Anna's house. And Christopher Bong was there too!! Ngaiti, couldn't recognize him O_O So TALL MAN!! He looked like mafia + tauke with his sleek touchscreen phone and talking like a tauke. XD Anna's hair got a LOT longer and Ali is still ali. Paul is still...well..Paul (but he seems to be more conceited than ever) Nimai is still nimai with his addiction to his phone (always SMS, like Ali..)

I need to finish watching Iron Man. AISH, i left at the climax! DAMN.

And yesterday, MAJOR TRAFFIC JAM EVERYWHERE! THANK YOU! PETROL PRICE! HMPH! I think it's time for us to walk/cycle and get healthy. But shit, I forgot that Kuching isn't London/any city with four seasons, it's so hot! We will be sweating like crazy if we walk here and there.

It's my dad's fault, he brainwashed my family (except the usual sis and bro). He watched this freaky "health" show by some man(who looks like a potential rapist) and all of a sudden he says :

(me, sis, mum, bro literally, JAW-DROPPED. Like seriously.)

Of course he's kidding, actually not really, half-kidding.

Cause for the next few days, he cooked vegetables, mushrooms, ask us to eat this IDONTKNOWWHATTHEHELL yucky seeds that taste like....wood (not that i've tasted wood before) but he says it's good for detoxification and me being the health freak couldn't pass that chance.

He even stopped....

But unlike the vegan comment, i actually believe he can stop drinking coffee for good. I mean, he stopped smoking and drinking what.

Okay, so i actually did some research on the benefits of being a vegan. (cause u know, i'm scared of malnutrition)

Most of the answers are...good. Lotsa ppl who became vegans got a LOT healthier and no malnutrition and all that crap.

So yeah, i'm going to be a part time vegan. :p (i cannot say no to eggs, chicken and ice cream.... and squid..and sushi.. but yeah, bye bye pork, i knew it, i've never really liked pork.)

Actually, i should just cut the crap and say that i want to be a part time vegan cause i just wanna lose weight....and not looking like a ghost 24/7.

Well sometimes ( i think ) its not, exactly you seeing this or that guy before but actually, you saw someone that looks almost identical to that person before somewhere. (My opinion is) Of the Billions around the world, there are a lot of human sharing very similar appearance. (Don't you think so?) Did God made it on purpose or not i'm not sure but just think, what are the odds of having Billions of COMPLETELY DISTINCTLY different looking people? Even DNA and genes among homogeneous species might come across high percentage of similar code and patterns. So why won't people look similar too?

In a more simple tense, have anyone come across situations where people commented that this person looks SO a like to Brad Pitt or James Blunt, Jolin Tsai, or even Simon Cowell? (For me maybe) its because this celebrities are more widely known, people have chances of comparing the above "theory" i said. More people know them so more people realise that this fellow or that idiot looks somehow like Simon. Make sense? hmm

I caught myself thinking through this because i can't help but to figure out how similar two person can look like despite having totally no blood relation.

Doesn't feel like school

Third day since school started. So far I've only had 2 classes and there's no class at all on Wednesday. Happy Happy :D as for my roommate aka You Know Who, he has class everyday packed with tutorials and lectures and even on Sunday. Wakaka... Goodluck mamamiaaa

But so far, I've seen tonnes of accounting student jamming into the library doing exercisers and making notes through library resources. Its been two classes and they're so into-the-zone already!! Should i feel guilty and at least do something? But mum, i'm really having fun at the moment.haha.

Living and studying here feels like going for a 4 year long holiday, just that there are classes to be attended in intervals. The walking may make us sweat, but walking through hills and green pathways while the forest breeze cools your sweating body just makes you feel nothing close to pressure school life. You can literally hear the harmonious orchestra of trees and "forest music"!

It rains quite a lot lately. Personally, i think TAR looks most beautiful in its raining tune. Whether its drizzling or raining cats and dogs, the atmosphere of the wide campus complimented by the wind blowing trees while a handful of coloured umbrellas lit under the rain (That is when TAR looks most like "Secret" amanda XD) A dilute romantic feeling mixed with the peacefulness of nature :)

Huang and i was "playing" in the rain yesterday after basketball(It always stop us from playing) Actually we had no choice but to walk back to the hostel in the rain cause we didn't bring any ella ella eh eh." I was very reluctant at first but once you're under the rain, you'll never regret it XD It feels so refreshing! Typing words like refreshing or rejuvenating ain't gonna describe it better than experiencing it. So i'm definitely gonna do it again.haha. The hostel guard said we're "main hujan". No la uncle, we're feeling the rain. hehe.


I don't know whether this is a suitable picture to bring out a better impression of the hostel :P (The RICH JPA ppl that once wanted to come to TAR felt disgusted of it, **** you jpa ppl) There are 7 girls block and 3 boys block while mixing is not allowed. But i pretty much believe that rule isn't much implemented. Internet is available if applied for but most student subscribe wireless. There's only one washing machine and one water dispenser on each block, i think its a way to promote socializing ae? Two canteens which averagely sell cheap food but do not compare it to WANGSA MAJU. haha.

Touring school with 900 accounting students is really an experience. Though the school is so big, i still feel so tiny and pack with the "gang". See the students walking towards this direction, the line just won't finish!!!

On society day, by pure chance, we joined this ATCL programme which stands for Adjustment to College Life. I had no idea why i walk into that dance room hall cause the programme sounded lame. But who the heck knows that it was SO FUN!!! Thanks TAR ppl, with all the orientation and this sorta activities. freshmen are provided with full preparation physically and mentally. And i mean it. haha.

Jo and I were yet again with coincidence placed in the same group. This group was the coolest among all 13 because first of all, i like it very much.haha. In consist of 3 sweet nice malays, Nisa(accounting seniour), Azhar (a fashion desginer and Tenor for school choir!), Najihah (shy broadcasting girl); a friendly Indian, Kartini (my seat-reserver XD), 3 bananas (Jo, Andres and Jen, sorry guys =D) along with a super humourous guy ah seng and creative director team leader....The chines guy in Man U shirt XDD

We won FIRST PRIZE after finishing the telematch, sharing session and lastly exploding the crowd during presentation with the most stand out and creative idea and a talented ah seng as our presenter. That was what i meant by meeting the perfect people with creative idea and strong spirit.

School

I finally found a peaceful place for internet leisure. Should i talk bout the basketball match? Can't upload pictures ler..shit.haha. nvm, so here goes.

There were altogether um..24 teams and my team was D1. Was kinda upset that they didn't gave room for team names instead, calling us A1, B4, C6. We're through with SPM results ok.

My teammates were

1. Huang (Captain yet youngest amongst), 1.90 freaking metres! Has white teeth -.- (says jo)


2. Pinky (like literally, thats his name, Phing Kee i suppose) 1.84metres, charmingly korean


3. Mua XD 1.84metres too. hehe.

So like, our average height would be......186cm? XD certainly tallest among all teams.

I was quite suprise cause the two man considered me "fittest" ^^ Got ka got ka? hahaha.

We won the first 4 games like its nobodies bussiness (^^) but the last group match, we lost by 1. Everyone was so depressed and emo even though we qualified to the quarter finals edi =.= big size man kek emo, imagine that =D

Anyways, the lost turn out to be a perfect blessing as the upcoming opponents weren't as tough as it would be if we won. (those who does not watch sport will not have a minicooper of what i'm talking)

Frying all the way to semifinals where we met a team of cou lao (looks older than actual age ppl). Tough fight and an amazing score of 2-2. No extra time so its freethrows/penalty. I took the first shot, freethrows are always cupcakes for me..

I'm surviving currently in school hostel which physically looks like a mountain resort with hills and breeze. Jo saw monkey mama flashing titi's to her monkey babies too.

But the rules states that ((No mixing of genders allowed in Hostels ))

Actually today was quite a happy & fun day.

Does kimchee smell bad? I like kimchee...a LOT. But my family seems to hate it. WHY? I like the sweet & spicy flavour of it.

I think Ah Lien and Ah Bengs spice up my life, they're funny people. I mean they don't need to talk and people will notice them. Not that I'm standing up for them, but true right? At least they grab ppl's attention (albeit bad attention). I'm such a hypocrite, always contradicting myself, I totally DO NOT like how they dress and talk and behave. BUT THE POINT IS THEY CAN GET PPL'S ATTENTION.. while i'm here typing crap and no one pays attention. : P

I have not wear ear rings for ...like one year? But the hole is still there leh. I'm going to wear them again.

I don't give a minicooper about the david vs david show. Yea yea, david cook wins, but i bet the music labels that are aiming for is david A. Come on, he's cute, already has rabid fangirls, is YOUNG, don't get my point? YOOOOUNNNGGG. See? asians are obsessed with making themselves look younger (avoid sun, the smart way, but if you get old then you get old la..haiya) whereas westerners are making themselves older than their age(sun tan HAHA, u only need a few mins in the sun to get vitamin D, stop with the "I-NEED-VITAMIN-D-SO-I-STAY-UNDER-THE-SUN-FOR-HOURS" crap, dress like hookers...etc) But then when they realized they're aging too fast, they go for BOTOX. But it's damn obvious they get botox okay?? ..and cheek implant! I know your cheeks are getting saggy but get a better plastic surgeon cause i can see like...2 paddings on your cheek that doesn't move at all. What's so nice about going under the knife to get thick lips?? You will only look like your lips were stung by some random bee. It's so SEXY meh?? Thing is.. don't mess up with your face.

They say that girls are extremely good in pointing out ppl who had plastic surgery? And guys totally can't. I dunno about u, but ever since i got into kpop and jpop, i can pretty much point it out. : P Especially rhinoplasty.

Okay, now, i really need to find my phone.

facts bout TARC

TAR is the biggest college in Malaysia
TAR has a high drop out rate (thanks to the quality control department)
TAR has the highest success-in-relationship-rate ( JK, but the principal actually encourages.. WTH???)

Hard to get internet so can't blog yet but guess what? We're in TAR school at night using wireless. A lil creepy but hey, very cool XD

There's tonnes of activities going on just for freshmen, the Talentime Night which is something like a concert, Orientation Odyssey Night which chooses its Prom King and Queen. Too bad i didn't have much balls and talent to offer XD anyway the Prom King/Queen gets a make over and Modeling Contracts which leads to the entertainment world!! haha. nvm

To cut things short before a real update, i'll be joining a freshy 3 on 3 competition. What say you? XD if i win i promise i'll blog bout it. haha. (That wasn't quite a promise is it?)
