SBS MYSTIQUEL NIGHT REVIEW

-from the stage director

It is to my deepest apology that sushiloverice has not been serving to its cuisine-quality but do not worry as the "chef" is back.(haha). Due to the amount of work poured down, i've practically assigned every minute of mine into utils to the extent that sleepless is just one part of everyday.

SBS MYSIQUEL NIGHT
has just ended 2 days ago. Concerning the preparation put in, it certainly ended fast. To make a full summary, the event was way above expectation because it was just A school's night,(School of Business Studies) not the whole college. However, the volume and magnitude brought up could be bigger than any events imaginable in college. Attendance to be exact was a sum of 1280 guests not including committees and crews. So basically, the venue which usually was attended with 2-300 attendees for other events, was filled with more than 1.3k of human beings! Way the go SBS NIGHT! More surprisingly was, our tickets not only sold out a week before, there were auctions for them on friendster that ultimately reached RM50, and people actually bought it. (just so you know, our ticket cost just one fifth of that)

Frankly, to state the point of view of a neutral audience, the event wasn't that successful due to the program lined up. Ok audiences might not think so thoroughly but i think, the reason why the event encountered such emotional recession was to the fault of the program. O well, post mortem just past and no one blamed them so, O WELL.haha.

But apart from that, i really enjoyed it. The ambiance that me and my stage crews did was (i dare say) wonderful. The program team were so smart to plan the event from 6 (which the day was still bright) so we covered all the windows with sugar paper and lid candles on every window. It looks miraculously haunting yet romantic. And the stage was... o well XD i don't really like to boast but, honestly, truthfully, thankfully, the stage was breath-taking.

Opening of the night was awesome, with the dim purplish red lights aligning on the walkway leading towards the stage,
one by one they ignite as the head of school walk up the dark stage. And when the vvip's pull the cloth off an unknown object which was placed in the middle of all attention, a elegantly crafted mask the size of a dining table came in sight. Swiftly after the vvip's went down, the whole stage lid up in a split of a second and the opening band jammed away into the mysterious surrounding. That night, awesomeness found its new definition.

The program went on too well when a dance group which really choreograph their dance mysteriously that it was mind-blowing! It is exactly too well that caused the recession of the following program where the magician came out and pull the smiling face out of everyone. No one knew whether he did it on purpose or he was just amateur but anyway, thanks for performing =.=

Of course there was the prom queen king nomination and all that sh** but honestly, no one actually gave a donkey bout it and i forgot how they look like anyway. If i were to mention everything that happened it would be as long as the great wall so i'll just skip the un-fun part and jump to the dance floor.

Our main objective was to had a waltz dance floor where people dance like the "Enchanted" with Jon McLaughlin singing "So Close" at the back. The crowd took sometime to warmed up and eventually, the mystiquel romance slowly arrived. Some were wearing their mask in conjunction to the theme, others waltz away into the smooth music that almost made me cry XD I actually felt kinda down because there wasn't that someone to really lay your emotions down and dance. Came across a few but i was just too stupid to walk away after a few steps. Maybe the ambiance was killing the software inside the hardware where unrecognized device just couldn't be plug-in. There! i found a good relating way of saying that :P

The orgasm (sorry for the vocabs i use) was when the music changed into a mixture of Usher+Rihanna+Sean Kingston and other beat-ful music. People were dancing like there's really no tomorrow and i believe everyone had a great time then. This was the program that saved the whole event from awful critism the next day. It was practically like clubbing, just that there is no liquor and the crowd was many times larger than the conjested clubs. The music was good, the lighting's were perfect, the crowd was high, someone was flying, the school officials weren't that happy, the stage was outstanding, the night was tremendous :)

In conclusion, it really was an extraordinary night despite the flaws of the program. "Clubbing in College"Dancing in the huge venue of the sport complex was really enjoying. Thank you everyone that worked hard to made it a success. Specially, my dearest stage crews :)

Do not worry bout how the stage looks, will be posting them all up and mind you, be ready! XD
