If you're expecting a rant and complain post, then i'm sorry for not writing to expectations :) Yes, i'm the stage director, and the above conversation happened between me and my assistant who is a senior in Graphic Design. *bites fingers :D
My first reaction towards her pre-judgement was to defend myself and boast off. But really there isn't such a neccesity. Frankly, i consider myself lucky to have such a post with the stereotype of an accountant labelled on my head. I mean, who would entrust a design and creative job to an accountant? :D
Well, God would :) Therefore i really have no worries over the outcome of every stage i'm doing, because faith tells me its gonna be brilliant!

Besides designing, i'm in charge of the orientation of the newbies coming in for May's intake. Management skills? haha, He's really pushing me in every way. As compared to designing a stage, this job requires 100% discipline and obedience in rules and regulation. Honestly i'm having a hard time catching up, feels as if i'm forcing myself to be a person of systematic and deligence. I blame that to myself for being poor in deligating task. But still, i know things are gonna work out one way or another.

It may seem crazy enough to be involve in 2 huge college events, but if i'm also involve in a new event founded by a few youngsters that just want to go that extra mile, i think i'm close to mad. The heated up project goes by the name, Green Alert! By the name of it, its obvious its for the environment!
Doing an event that has never been done really is a pain in the ass. Everything starts from zero, from the plans to the hierachy to the programs.
Doing an event that relates to the environment, its even harder, for the scale and scoop of are so vast and the untangible goal of increasing awareness and seeing behavioral changes, it just add to the difficulty. But so? If something is difficult and people keep doubting, turning away is the least smart option. It may sound exaggerating, but the first thing i wanted to do when i joined college, was to change the college's ignorance towards environmental care. Damn it, they hide the recycle bins behind college and take it out for coursework campaigns and put it back again!!!
COME ON!!!!!
Our environment is our responsibility, and all we want is to let everyone understand so. I believe with that little amount of pushing, behavioral change is possible. Come on everyone, be a noble and respectable person for Earth :)
last note: Did you know staying up late damages the environment? The amount of electricity you consume with the lights, your laptop, your hi-fi and God knows what else you're using till early morning. So for the environment, i'm sleeping early. Care to join me? :)
